Faculty and Staff

The diversity of faculty experts at CREST CAChE makes it one of the most interdisciplinary centers of its kind – bringing members together from 4 colleges and 10 departments across Florida International University; including biology, chemistry, hydrology, ecotoxicology, computer science, and environmental and occupational health. This unique collaboration is providing students with greater opportunities to develop their skills in a wide range of fields, as they broaden their understanding of contaminant detection, identification, tracing, visualization, education and communication.

Angela Fischer

My name’s Angela Fischer and I am currently a Finance and Marketing undergraduate student at FIU. I went to Jupiter High School in Florida, where I was an active student in the Jupiter Environmental Research and Fields Study Academy, which sparked my interest in environmental science. During that time, I interned at a government non-profit agency: The Loxahatchee River Center. Realizing how much I loved working with environmental groups, I ended up being a Junior Marine-Bio camp counselor at The Loggerhead Marine Life Center in Juno Beach. Now I have the pleasure of working with CREST CAChE as Communications Coordinator.

Maria Paula Pulido

I was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to Miami 5 years ago. I am an international student and I recently transferred from Broward College. Currently I’m a junior at FIU pursing my Bachelors in Business Marketing.
