Evan Worden

I am a doctoral student at FIU. My research interests primarily lie in understanding the life history of ecologically important invertebrates and their potential role in the restoration of degraded ecosystems. I am working on a project to survey different habitats of the Florida Bay to understand their sponge communities, and how those sponges may play a crucial role in reducing harmful bacteria that cause diseases such as stony coral tissue loss.
