My research focuses on identifying the effects of environmental stressors on the symbiotic relationship between reef-building corals and photosynthetic dinoflagellates. This ecologically-important relationship is influenced by epigenetic interactions between the coral host and its symbiont, and I am interested in identifying how anthropogenic disturbances may affect its resiliency under future climate change scenarios.
