Samuel Miller
Sam is currently a third year Chemistry PhD student in Dr. Fernandez-Lima's lab group focusing on the development of novel TIMS-UVPD-TIMS-q-ToF MS analytical/instrumentational platform for top-down proteomics and it's use in localization of potential PTM biomarkers. Sam obtained his BS in forensic science from UCF, his MSFS in forensic drugs and toxicology from VCU, and worked for over four years as a forensic scientist in a toxicology lab before returning to FIU in pursuit of his PhD. He hopes to contribute to the CREST family by utilizing his chemistry and toxicology experience and applying his new instrumentation workflow to all aspects of toxicology including environmental toxicology.
