I was born and raised in Florida and decided to go to FIU on a student-athlete scholarship to pursue a degree in marine biology. As of 2020, I am a junior working at the Ecotoxicology and Risk Assessment Laboratory at FIU where I am investigating the intra- and interspecific relationships shared by Procambarus alleni (Florida crayfish) and Procambarus fallax (Slough crayfish) under variable temperature conditions. My ultimate goal is to get my PhD in Biological Oceanography and a Masters in marine policy, as well as help further my passion for science communication.
