I study the interactive effects of elevated temperature and nitrogen levels on symbiosis at multiple levels. My primary interest is the effect of these conditions on the dynamics of the coral microbiome and on microalgae of the family Symbiodiniaceae, a symbiotic partner which is key to the survival of corals and other cnidarians.
