Melanie "Lanie" Esch

Melanie Esch is a PhD candidate in FIU’s Tropical Fish Ecology Lab. She is a marine ecologist particularly interested in invasive marine fishes. Her current research aims to prevent the introduction of non-native species and to understand the spread/impacts of current invasive marine fishes in South Florida to aid in the conservation of coral reefs.
