Mackenzie "Mack" White
My research interests broadly revolve around aquatic biogeochemistry and fish ecology. Currently, my dissertation research is focused on quantifying the magnitude and ecological implications of fish-derived resource subsidies (i.e., excreta and egest) in the marsh-mangrove ecotone during the dry season as freshwater consumers in adjacent marsh habitat seek refuge in the perennial mangrove creeks and estuarine consumers aggregate to exploit marsh prey seeking refuge in the system.
