I am interested in the population dynamics and ecology of marine fishes. More specifically, I am interested in the spatial dynamics of human-harvested and affected reef fish. I hope to improve the effectiveness of management and conservation efforts by combining integrated modelling approaches and designing fisheries independent surveys for reef-associated species. My current research focuses on the application of active acoustic methods to provide population size and distribution data on reef fishes in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico.
