Teri Watson
Teri Watson is an Architectural Designer, Project Manager and current candidate in the DDes program at Florida International University. Born in Houston, Texas, Teri is a scholar of the built environment with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Florida A&M University and a Master's Degree in Architecture from FIU. For the past six years in traditional practice, her work has explored materiality and various construction methods through fabrication of architectural facades resulting in AIA building awards and 2023 Project Manager of the Year. Teri has been invited to exhibit works at Orlando Science Center and TEDTalk Ybor City which has displayed her work as an emerging professional and mission to connect everyday people with architecture. As her core passion falls under the lack of innovation and education within communities, her research interests consist of the relationships between human characteristics, nature and architecture. Natures methodologies has always been a primary significance within the connection and use of architecture. As a designer, and a true thinker of human concepts, her goal is to incorporate technology and sustainability for the built environment through interdisciplinary research that can advance architecture methodologies beyond what it is now.
