Sosa researches marine habitat restoration and its socioeconomic impacts. His goal is to determine a practical and fiscally feasible coral reef restoration plan that can increase resiliency in reef habitats throughout South Florida. He plans to understand societal valuation of reefs and their restoration efforts to better inform policymakers, habitat managers, and locals.
