Jezebel Powers

Jezebel is a PhD Candidate in Dr. Justin Campbell's Global Change Biology lab at FIU. She is broadly interested in understanding how global change stressors interact to influence tropical seagrass health. More specifically, she focuses on how seagrass ecophysiology is impacted by the interactions between ocean warming, acidification, and grazer impacts, and how those stressors drive associated ecosystem functions in seagrass meadows. She examines how carbon storage patterns are shifting under these global stressors to better understand the future of seagrass meadows under an era of change.
