I grew up in Colorado and moved to Hawaii to pursue my passion for the ocean as my career, so I studied Marine Science at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. For my CREST CAChE research project, I worked at the Seagrass Ecosystems Research Lab, taking part in the seagrass monitoring program and expanding the heterotroph and organisms survey of the seagrass beds. I also measured spatial and temporal trends of heterotrophs in relation to seagrass using GIS technology.
