I am currently a graduate student in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department pursuing my Ph.D. in Chemistry on a Forensic Science track, with an emphasis in trace and analytical chemistry. I earned my B.S. in both Chemistry and Cellular Biology from Schreiner University, where I did research in a variety of fields including genetics, forensic entomology, soil analysis, and analysis of cannabinoids. My current research interests focus on developing novel ion mobility mass spectrometry-based methods for the detection and identification of epigenetic modifications related to environmental stressors in biological specimens.
