Nathaniel "Keith" Casey

Nathaniel K. Casey began researching marine mammals by researching bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) cognition, acoustics, and vocal repertoire, while also gaining experience in husbandry, stranding, and field work methods. Currently, his research has gained more focus on bottlenose dolphin ecology, behavior, and movements using bioacoustics and passive acoustic monitoring in South Florida’s Biscayne Bay. Nathaniel hopes to investigate the effects of anthropogenic noise on bottlenose dolphin communication and behavior which could help local communities as acoustic becomes a greater issue
