Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Miami Beach and Broward, growing up by the ocean is what sparked my passion for marine biology. Currently, I am a senior at FIU pursuing a Marine Biology degree and working at the Ecotoxicology and Risk Assessment Laboratory at BBC. I am learning about the shoaling behavior of Sailfin Mollies as adults and juveniles when a predator is present. My long-term goal is to go to graduate school and pursue a PhD in Marine Biology with a focus on Elasmobranch behavior.
