Field Technician, University of Puerto Rico CREST Center
Degree Earned: Bachelors, Summer 2018

I graduated from my bachelor's in Environmental Science at the University of Puerto Rico. My involvement with the Tropical Limnology Laboratory and Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences led me to pursue further research in aquatic sciences, with a focus on water quality and anthropogenic impacts on the environment. During the CREST CAChE Undergraduate Research Fellowship, I was able to study the ability of mangroves to buffer marine ecosystems from contaminants and pollutants and it provided me with valuable experience for graduate school.
