I am a PhD student in Dr. Justin Campbell's Global Change Biology lab at FIU. My current research broadly focuses on understanding how much seagrass is necessary to support reef fish foraging in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, by quantifying prey accessibility and abundance. I use field experiments and surveys to examine the ecological roles of invertebrate epifauna communities in seagrass ecosystems and their connectivity to adjacent habitats. By investigating how habitat complexity, predation pressure, and environmental stressors influence epifaunal communities, I aim to inform conservation and management efforts in coastal ecosystems.
